We all have an internal clock inside our bodies that tells us when we should wake up and sleep. I forget what it’s called (circadian rhythm), but everyone has a natural rhythm to their own body and mind.
Timing is about energy distribution. It’s about making sure everything is in sync and properly aligned, so you can work at your best level.
Some people work better in the morning. Others work better late in the evening.
Figuring out the best time for when you do your work is important for sustaining your craft—not just for a couple of weeks, but for your entire lifetime.
If it’s something you want to build into your life, then it’s necessary to be aware of when is the best time to fit in your creative projects—so they’re aligned not only with your joy, but with different aspects of your life, including family responsibilities and other daily struggles.
There will probably never be a perfect time. But you can find the best time. And not having a schedule can cost you more energy in the long run.
